Tight Wad in Utah

I took my daughter last thursday to the Girls Night Out Event at The University of Utah Health Care South Jordan Health Center .  It was such a fun, informative, and surprisingly inspirational night!  We quickly met Channel 2 News Anchor Mary Nickles who was the Key Note Speaker.   Mary was asked to get a mammogram for a segment of the show awhile back.  Later she finds out that she has breast cancer!  She said that Utah has the highest percentage of women who do not get mammograms and noted that if you have boobs you are at risk. :)   Mary was very inspiring as she told us about her fight with cancer and how she had so much support from the community.  I was also amazed by her attitude about it all.  amazing..  If you're interested she created a blog about her experience at My Journey Through Breast Cancer . The new facility is beautiful and doesn't feel (or smell) hospital like at all.  If I lived closer this would definitely be a place I would frequent

Easter is early this year and we've already started celebrating by watching A Very Veggie Easter Collection!!  It contains popular VeggieTales Easter DVDs "Twas the Night Before Easter" and "An Easter Carol."
