GIVEAWAY: doTERRA Intro to Essentials Oils Kit! -CLOSED-

Winner

Three of my favorite oils in 1 kit!!  The doTERRA Intro to Essential Oils Kit contains 5ml bottles of Lemon, Lavender, and Peppermint.  Also included is an introductory audio CD and booklet that contains uses of these oils.  I have been using Peppermint for a long time now.  When I get a headache I put it on my temples, or wherever it aches and it goes away.  And you also smell good :)  You can also apply it to your stomach or feet to calm indigestion or an upset stomach.
I also use it along with Breathe to open up my sinuses when I have allergies.

I love putting a couple drops of Lemon in my water!  Plus it is good for
-removing gum, label adhesives, and greasy substances from fabric
-mood elevation
-soothing a sore throat
-neutralize odors, and more...

Lavender has the best smell!  You can use it for calming a bee sting or bug bite, soothe sunburbed skin,  and calm diaper rash.  I used it to relieve dry lips!  You just apply it under lip balm.  Worked great, but try not to get it in your mouth.  I did and its not the best taste ever..lol

I went to MyNaturalFamily and liked her Chicken Noodle Soup recipie. Actually I have been to this site before because she was having a giveway for doTERRA oils too. My children crave homemade chicken soup and have been disappointed with my sad attempts. They love the homemade chicken noodle soup that my friend makes but she boils a whole chicken and I cannot get my head around that because I think it is a waste and leaves you with too much chicken for the soup. I tried the chicken noodle soup recipie on MyNaturalFamily and it is great because she uses inexpensive chicken thighs. I used store bought noodles. Also checkout her Southwestern Pumpkin Burger. Her recipe calls for canned pumpkin but I had frozen puree left over from last Halloween's pumpkins and used that instead. More great recipes on her site.

Gardner Village Series: Country Furniture & Gifts

Gardner Village is a local treasure. If you've never found your way down there, October is the month to do it!  The shop owners love Halloween! The village becomes a witch village and many times, shop owners will even dress up.   On my most recent trip to Gardner Village, I stopped in at Country Furniture & Gifts which is a store very ready for Halloween.

The store is located in part of the old restored flour mill built in 1877 by Archibald Gardner in West Jordan, Utah.  The store is very family oriented and houses many built-to-last items such as dining room tables, sofas, beds and chairs.  They are also famous for their rug room where many of their rugs are still USA made. As they say, "A rug makes a huge impact for a minimum investment to any room."

The home accessories and giftware are amazing!  They have all sorts of decor for all sorts of personalities. Please be sure to pay them a visit.  It's worth it!

Add nutmeg to taste - I did a lot of tastin'!! :)
