Allergy Night at the South Jordan Health Center!

I went to Allergy Night at the new South Jordan Health Center at Daybreak the other night.  All this time I thought I was allergic to cats and dogs.  Turns out it's just cats!

I took the free allergy test and I'm also allergic to few other things as you can tell by my arm :):)  They just poke your skin a bit (with plastic, not needles) and irritate it with their potions.  The staff was especially nice and helpful.  Plus the facility is so pretty!!  It really doesn't feel like a hospital.  It looks more spa-like.

Dr. Kevin Wilson, M.D. was very informative about treatments and preventive measures.  I also learned way more about dust mites than I wanted to.  :)  Luckily I'm not too allergic to them, since they live in the home.  But if you are, there are ways to get rid of them....vacuuming, laundry, special pillowcases.  They can't live above 5,000 - 6,000 feet elevation or below 45% humidity.

Due to the popularity of this event, the South Jordan Health Center will be hosting another similar experience soon.  If you can stand some temporary itching, I highly recommend it.  They will test anyone 5 and older.  Dr. Wilson also mentioned that allergies can be related or the cause of asthma in kids and adults.
It feels good to be more informed about a subject that attacks my family.  Good luck this allergy season!!

I was compensated for my time.  All opinions are 100% mine.

Thanks for your report and feedback on this! I was super curious about it. Since I wasn't able to go, hopefully I'll be able to make it to the next one!

Thank you for the information and your experience. I will watch for the next one because I would like to know what my son is allergic to. That is interesting about the dust mites not being able to live at high elevations and low humidity.

GIVEAWAY: ERGObaby Carrier! -CLOSED-

Winner I have carried my little boy in a baby carrier since he was born. I love the convenience of strapping him in and not worrying about the hassle of a bulky stroller. It's also a comfort to hold my little guy close and safe. When I had the chance to review the ERGObaby carrier, I was thrilled to try something that could extend my baby wearing days. My first test was a true one...Costco. I admit that I didn't really look at the directions when I put the carrier on in the parking lot. But I didn't need to! After one look at a picture in the user manual, I strapped my 20 pound boy in, placed my little girl in the shopping cart, and started on my way through the aisles of Costco. I immediately noticed that the carrier more evenly distributed my son's weight than my normal carrier and held my boy high so my legs weren't bumping into his. This made it significantly easier to tote him around the store. Indeed my normal trips to Costco are exhausting. But
