Winner Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment have come out with Barney: Planes, Trains & Cars !  This is a fun DVD with 4 episodes.  My daughter especially likes the Elephant song in "The Magic Caboose" and my 2 year old likes the Loop De Loop Counting game.  You choose how many times Barney does a Loop De Loop in an airplane. I posted about what to do with expired flour last year and was reminded about flour lawn stars!  I first saw the idea from Pink and Green Mama  (a great blog to check out!) I cut out a star template out of an old box with a box cutter.  I could have ended the activity right there with how much fun my kids were having with the cardboard stars. :) Then you lay down the template and water the area.  After it's wet you can sift flour to make your star.  I found that it took at least a cup of flour per star.  But if you have older, more controlled kids doing it you could probably get away with a lot less.  Plus we use a push mower (non-motor) so our grass stays a bit longer than most :):) Yes, I used the edit feature to green up my lawn a bit...lol

Winner Have you heard of Happy Nappers ??  They start out as a pillow and turn into a plush toy!  The pillow also has a doorbell and when you push it you can hear the animal snoring, then waking up..lol  The kids LOVE THIS!  Coppins Gifts has many to choose from, here are a couple more of my favorites: My only concern with the pillow was that if my child was sleeping on it and hit the doorbell they would wake up freaked out.  But I tested it by laying on it myself several times and it can't be done.  Unless of course you have a severely pointy cheekbone, even then it would be tricky. :)  I guess they anticipated that problem. There is no question that my kids love this pillow/toy.  Luckily it hasn't sustained any tug of war injuries yet from my two sharing impaired kids.  Although I'm not too worried because it is made to handle them.
