Last Saturday, we participated in an event sponsored by Mom It Forward .  We went up to Bingham Canyon and visited the Kennecott Copper Mine .  It was really fun.  I knew that Kennecott had been involved in the Day Break Development in West Jordan and know they give back to the community.  They are also as sustainable as possible. I really like that. I loved seeing and learning about how they achieve that. The place is fascinating to kids and adults as well - but most of all, educational.  It was a fun family activity!  We were there a couple of hours then went to SoDa Row in Daybreak for a little shopping and ate our packed lunches at a small park in the area.  There are many cool stories to share about our experience at the mine, but I think I'll let you explore the area yourself!  Why spoil it for you?!
