This is the cutest show! The League of Incredible Vegetables is a new family favorite at our house! Not only is this a fun show for all of us but it's a great lesson in handling fear. My daughter says she's afraid of being alone..and spiders. I know it helps her to know that we all get scared, even superheroes. :)
VeggieTales consistently makes shows that I love to watch with my kids!
Ricochet is the one learning the lesson about fear in this movie. We love the part where he chooses his special super suit. Later he finds out that he needs more than a suit to be brave and have courage because God is looking out for him.
Such a great message and opportunity to discuss real heroes with my children.
DVD Synopsis:
It was a bright and sunny day in Bumblyburg...until Dr. Flurry came to town. This chillin' villain wants to freeze the whole city...in fear! It's a job to big for LarryBoy alone, so he turns to the "The League of Incredible Vegetables" to help save the town from Dr. Flurry's icy grip! When it seems like they're all moments from the deep freeze, will the League remember to turn to One who is bigger than all our fears? Includes a brand new theme song and music video from Grammy-nominated and Dove Award winning group, The Newsboys!
My kids (and me too!) are always singing the League's new theme song! My husband made the mistake of turning off the movie before it was done playing....
He won't do that again :) Here's a link to The League of Incredible Vegetable Music Video performed by Newsboys. Its GOOOOD!! Also check out the specifically designed The League of Incredible Vegetables Website! There you can download activities & theme song, parent guides and printable crafts!
