Gardner Village Series: Storybook Nook

Gardner Village is one of my favorite places to visit with a group of family or friends. Because we got to visit with the owner of the village and the shop owners the other night, we'll be doing a Gardner Village Series spotlight of most of the stores so that you can see what's there and why we fell in love with the place all over again. We hope you enjoy it!

Most recently, I discovered a store I had never visited before! It's called the Storybook Nook! From the picture above, doesn't it look like you could spend hours in there? It's so cute and quaint.

This store has not only books but also games and toys for adults and children alike. The owner, Allison Smith selects the items herself. I love that passion!

This store is definitely worth exploring! They have Apples to Apples (one of my favorite games), Bananagrams, Word on the Street, Five Crowns, Curses and much, much more! I'm going to have to find my way back there to check out their wood puzzles and blocks for my toddler!

Winner I have carried my little boy in a baby carrier since he was born. I love the convenience of strapping him in and not worrying about the hassle of a bulky stroller. My first test was a true one...Costco. I admit that I didn't really look at the directions when I put the carrier on in the parking lot. But I didn't need to! After one look at a picture in the user manual, I strapped my 20 pound boy in, placed my little girl in the shopping cart, and started on my way through the aisles of Costco. I immediately noticed that the carrier more evenly distributed my son's weight than my normal carrier and held my boy high so my legs weren't bumping into his.
