Winner Cooper and Me is a fun book about going to school for the first time.  It was written and illustrated by an 11 year old, based on her experiences. Synopsis from the Cooper and Me website : Cooper and Me is a delightful picture book about a young girl who is nervous as her first day of school approaches. She doesn’t want to go without her best friend, her beloved dog Cooper. Fortunately her mother finds the perfect answer! Packed with vibrant illustrations and rhythmic verses, this book addresses the anxiety children often feel before trying something new. My daughter and I really loved this children's book .  There are discussion questions at the end of the story that encouraged us to talk about it more.  It's always interesting to hear what my 4 year old is thinking about.  This book brought up great questions and of course has a very relevant theme. I like that this book rhymes making this a fun one to read aloud.  And I can't believe it was illustrated

I was able to review a costume from Wholesale Costume Club !  Around my house the dress-up drawer is the first place the kids hit.  So I am always happy to add to the collection. :)  I chose Popeye for my boy.  In my opinion this is a great boys costume !  I'm hoping this costume will also encourage more spinach to be eaten. ya never know... Seriously..isn't that a cute Popeye!?  Along with the shirt and pants the costume came with a belt, 2 muscle arms, and a sailor hat..lol  Now I just need to teach my boy how to flex properly. :)  The Popeye costume came just as expected and is durable enough for my active boy.  It's nice to know that he will be able to play with it for years and not just a single day.  I can see these muscle arms being of use in many circumstances.
