I was able to review the children's book: Sock 'n Boots Adventures by D. K. Smith.  The book has 3 stories in it.  All sweet with a nice message.  ALL of which my kids need to work on. :)  So I appreciate these stories for the help they give me.


Each story begins with a question and then a lesson is taught through the fun story.   When the story is finished the question is posed again which I like because it made sure that I was having a discussion about it with my kids.
Sometimes I forget how important and interesting that step is.  My kids always crack me up with their interpretations.

My 4 year old daughters favorite story is "Afraid of the Dark" because..."I love watching the monster chase them...that's silly."

Another thing I really love about Sock 'n Boots is that at the end there is a coloring book!  The coloring pages are pages from the story.  It's an all in one book!

Do trains remind you of Christmas? Well enjoy the whole train/Christmas package with Thomas and Friends Holiday Favorites. I guess trains remind me of Christmas because they seem to be a big item at Christmas, not that I have ever purchased one, but perhaps this year for my boy. :)

Thomas Holiday Favorites includes 3 DVDs: "Merry Winter Wish," "Ultimate Christmas," and "Holiday Express." A great way to start off the holiday season, Barney: A Very Merry Christmas-The Movie!  My kids (ages 2 and 4) LOVED feeling the excitement of the Christmas season as Barney went through the first snow fall, setting up the decorations, and then a ride to Santa's workshop. I loved that it really focused on the joy of giving not just receiving the gifts, something they don't always understand :)

Barney A Very Merry Christmas-the movie arrived on DVD on October 11, 2011. It is 58 minutes, which is perfect for little ones to watch and enjoy.
