I took my cut up organic chicken that I got cheap from Whole Foods and the BBQ sauce I got for .39 at Smiths and it's cooking nicely in the crockpot.  My house smells GOOOOD! (for once :)  Is that a tip?  I don't know, but the smell is making it so I can think of nothing else. :):) Do you have a tip? a frugal recipe? a great shopping trip? I went to Whole Foods today for their one day sale on Organic Whole Chickens for $1.69/lb.  I bought three and had them cut up two of them. Winner Little Green Books from Simon & Schuster has an eco-friendly series that I got to check out.  The books teach about the benefits of recycling, how they can help endangered animals, and dangers of global warming, to name a few.  Not only are the theme's environmentally friendly, but so are the actual books!  They are printed on recycled materials with vegetable or soy inks.   I think that is so great! And I also like how they are teaching kids to grow up to be earth friendly adults. The filling was really good but the kicker is the oreo cookie crust...YUM! Winner Strawesome (first of all, coolest name ever!) sells reusable drinking straws made of glass!!  The straws are made from the same glass that is used to make Pyrex. Borosilicate glass is non-toxic, beautiful, and made in the USA.  You can also wash them in the dishwasher!  Which is always a huge plus with me. I received a straw to review and I absolutely love it!  It cleans really easy.  They sell brushes, but if you rinse it with warm soapy water when your done using it, a brush isn't necessary.  It comes clean and you can see that it's clean.  The straw feels super sturdy and I'm not scared at all that it's going to brake on me.  Also, I prefer to drink juices with a straw for the sake of my teeth, so I really love having a straw around always.  And I don't know why but I drink WAY more water when I'm using a straw, so I've been very well hydrated lately. :) Not only are they better for the environment and not leaching toxins into your liquid
