Some of you that know me, know that I LOVE origami.  If there's a piece of paper around, I'm never bored. :)  Anyway I was thinking about Valentine's day and decided to see if I could make a flower with money instead of paper.  When cold hard cash is the perfect present for that someone here's a way to make it less "cold" and "hard". :):) Here's how to do it:   -First make the stem (here are the instructions from Nick jr.   I just had to tweak it a bit to use a bill) fold the bill in half Take one end and fold it down: fold up flap: tuck in extra flap and fold in half:  (hopefully the pictures are more helpful then my instructions :) fold up the bottom to make the leaf: DONE!  Now follow these easy instructions from Nick Jr. to make the blossom.   You may have to play around with the size of paper that you use for it.  I used a square that could fit on a CD: When your done cut off the tip so that you ca

I found a great FREE valentine that you can print from c.r.a.f.t. (a WAY cute blog)! This would be a great one to print out, have your kids write/draw on the back, and give to Daddy.  Well....that's why I'm doing. :) This would also look great framed on a wall!! HA!  My husband was just complaining this morning about the amount of food stuck to our microwave.  In my defense my microwave is up high so I rarely notice it starting to get bad.  Put a lid on the food to prevent the mess in the first place???  Great idea, but I still don't do it.  Am I lazy?  most likely. :) ANYWAY...   Amanda from A Few Short Cuts just posted about using vinegar to clean your microwave quick.  It worked great!  And my kitchen smells like salad. :) Check out her post to see how it's done.   I like the idea of using vinegar instead of chemicals around food.  Thanks Amanda!! I also use vinegar in my dishwasher as a rinse agent.  Great money saver! .
