Honestly a lot of DVDs geared to children I do appreciate as long as my kids seem to enjoy it.  BUT this one I LOVE!  It is hilarious!  There is no talking, just grunts and sounds, and it cracks me up!  My kids just sit there and giggle all through it.  My favorite part is when the dog is making his master some eggs, so he grabs a chicken and shakes it over a  And then seeing a bunch of sheep piled in a truck bopping to the warms my

Shaun the Sheep Animal Antics came out on DVD July 26th from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment.  You can get it for $14.98.  There are 7 episodes:

    The DVD is approximately 44 minutes and the age target it 2-60! (I believe it) Also in the bonus features there's a Building-A-Pig Game!

    Gardner Village is a local treasure. If you've never found your way down there, October is the month to do it!  The shop owners love Halloween! The village becomes a witch village and many times, shop owners will even dress up.   On my most recent trip to Gardner Village, I stopped in at Country Furniture & Gifts which is a store very ready for Halloween.

    What to do with Apricots: Homemade Fruit Leather

    If you have access to an apricot tree I highly suggest making fruit leather.  This was my first time attempting any kind of dried fruit and it turned out heavenly!
    Plus my house smelled great all day!!  And if you read a recent post you can see why that would be

    Apricot Fruit Leather

    4 cups chopped apricots
    lemon juice
    1/2 c water

    Add apricots and a 1/2 c of water to a saucepan on low heat.
    Cover, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.
    Add sugar 1 T at a time till it tastes good
    Add lemon juice 1 tsp at a time to taste
    Add cinnamon to taste
    Add nutmeg to taste - I did a lot of tastin'!! :)
    Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat until thickened a bit

    In batches add mixture to a blender
    Blend until smooooooooth
    Prepare baking sheet: line with microwaveable safe plastic wrap
    Add mixture to sheet about 1/4 inch thick

    MAKE SURE the plastic wrap doesn't fold over mixture and that it doesn't touch your oven
