GIVEAWAY: Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal Products! (US) -CLOSED-

Review by Aimee

When I first heard of Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal (NFDC), I thought, "cool, they have that crystal deodorant I've been curious about for years!" I found this company to be more than just one deodorant.

NFDC's line of goods really are, ALL NATURAL PRODUCTS! They are also CRUELTY FREE (never tested on animals), and appears to be highly recommended by doctors. They also donate to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the Cure. I was also impressed that they supply both Doctors and Cancer Treatment centers with trial sized samples for patients to test out. You've got to love a company who is trying to make a difference.

I was fortunate to try NFDC's line of deodorants and a few other products which I'll discuss in a moment. The deodorants do not contain aluminum as do many other deodorants and antiperspirants. You will still sweat with a deodorant, but you'll stop the "stink" before it becomes a problem. Plus, sweating is healthy as it's a natural way for your body to remove toxins. You also won't stain your new white shirt with this line of deodorants, nor any of your clothes! The deodorants are available in the "hard" crystal, roll-on, and spray. The spray and roll-on come in a variety of scents such as Papaya Fusion (my favorite), Lavender, fragrance free etc. Make sure you moisten the "hard" crystal before use. I laughed when my husband told me it hurt to put on, which it doesn't at all....he just forgot to moisten it! lol! If anything it's refreshing to put on. :) I found they all worked best when applied right after showering.

The Foot Spray is like a deodorant for feet. It can also be sprayed into your shoes to help cut smell and bacteria overnight. Like the deodorants, use right after showering for best results. It also claims to fight athletes foot! The regular spray deodorant can be used on the feet as well.
I was also privileged to try the Refrigerator Fresh Crystal, The Pet Crystal, and the MoistStik. the refrigerator crystal and the Pet Crystal can be used in numerous places such as refrigerator, bathrooms, pet areas, cars, garbage pails etc. to absorb unwanted area odors. They are both non-toxic and spill prof and last up to 6 months! The MoistStik feels amazing on my lips by giving instant relief. I found it to stay on longer than most lip moisturizers in my opinion.

I found no problems with any sensitivity issues with any of these products. I do however have issues with burning and itching with most antiperspirants; it's nice to finally find something I don't have to worry about at all. I also like that all the fragrances don't bother my allergies, or overpower any other fragrance/perfume I want to wear.

Lastly, these wonderful products can be purchased easily at Whole Foods Market, Kroger store, GNC and several other health food stores and online retailers. Visit Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal for a list of stores near you.

Gardner Village Series: Country Furniture & Gifts

Gardner Village is a local treasure. If you've never found your way down there, October is the month to do it!  The shop owners love Halloween! The village becomes a witch village and many times, shop owners will even dress up.   On my most recent trip to Gardner Village, I stopped in at Country Furniture & Gifts which is a store very ready for Halloween.

The store is located in part of the old restored flour mill built in 1877 by Archibald Gardner in West Jordan, Utah.  The store is very family oriented and houses many built-to-last items such as dining room tables, sofas, beds and chairs.  They are also famous for their rug room where many of their rugs are still USA made. As they say, "A rug makes a huge impact for a minimum investment to any room."

The home accessories and giftware are amazing!  They have all sorts of decor for all sorts of personalities. Please be sure to pay them a visit.  It's worth it!

What to do with Apricots: Homemade Fruit Leather

Freezer Homemade Fries & Sauce

I LOVE fries!  I would make them more but it seems like a hassle when I'm trying to get dinner ready, kids are screaming, and I'm trying to dodge cheerios on the floor.

Then along came freezer fries and my life is far richer (lol)....not the ones you buy at the store that kinda look potato-like, but the real things.  They are also MUCH cheaper.   So instead of letting your potatoes sit around, and hoping that you remember to use them, you can make fries....yum....

To see my post on what to do with a 10lb. bag of potatoes go to The Coupon Project.

First wash and scrub potatoes ( I don't peel because I think it's miserable work)
Cut into 1/2 inch fries
Toss with oil (I usually use Canola)
Add salt and a little sugar (makes them crispy)

Place them on a baking sheets and bake at 475 for 20 minutes (they will only be half cooked)
After baking, let them cool on paper or dish towels Put in freezer on sheet (I have a small freezer so I used pie tins) Let them freeze solid (ab…
