GIVEAWAY: Custom Yoga Towel from Yogamatic! -CLOSED-

Do you workout? This is the new product for you; seriously. This towel from Yogamatic has so many uses it's almost ridiculous. It can be used as a yoga mat all by itself (for example over carpet)!   I haven't used it for all the uses I'll mention because I've been in the throws of my 30 day challenge with Bikram yoga. I do know I look forward to using it to it's max potential! ;)

First off, the Yogamatic towel isn't an ordinary bath towel. It IS one of the coolest products I've seen lately. Yogamatic has been featured on Oprah when Jennifer Aniston gave Oprah a yoga mat with her dogs printed on it. What a fun idea to have your own design printed right on your yoga mat or towel! This can make your workout more fun, and/or inspirational. They also have several cool ideas on their website if you want to choose from their "Image Galleries." As for me, being from Utah, they sent me a limited edition towel of a beautiful downhill ski scene. Perfect for Bikram yoga or hotter yoga rooms. ;) The topside is made from white polyester Micro-fibre. The underside has a recycled, natural rubber grip so it will stay on top of your yoga mat without rolling or folding.

As I mentioned, the Yogamatic towel has many different uses; let me mention just a few. This towel can be used as a yoga mat over carpet, or you could throw it over a rented mat for sanitary purposes. I have used it over my mat for more cushion. When you go on your next vacation you can save on your luggage space and weight (weighs only 1.5 lbs) if you want to do some yoga on the go. It would go nicely over a pilates mat and even fitness equipment to absorb sweat and provide extra grip to the surfaces you are working out on. I read that one lady likes to put it over her workout ball. The options are endless!
I reviewed this towel as I attended Bikram yoga SLC classes. I like it because it's longer than my mat just enough to always allow my feet and head plenty of space. It's also wonderful because I never have problems with creasing, folding or rolling, so I can concentrate on the class. It's nice to be able to keep my focus as it's such an integral part of yoga. AND, I LOVE, love, love that it washes so nicely! It just needs to be hang dried. The towel does dry fairly quick.

One negative for use in Bikram yoga is that once you are done with the standing series and begin the spine strengthening series, it gets a bit soggy. At this point I would suggest bringing a hand towel or regular towel to put under your head. The extra towel also comes in handy for rabbit pose. I do think this towel would probably function better in other types of yoga classes; however I will continue to enjoy using it in Bikram yoga.

Overall, I love the Yogamatic towel and suggest it for all of your workout towel/mat needs. The image printed on your towel is a definite plus, and would make an excellent gift to yourself or a loved one; but I will say it comes second to the many use options available for this towel. A percentage of every sale goes to Global Green.

Gardner Village Series: Country Furniture & Gifts

Gardner Village is a local treasure. If you've never found your way down there, October is the month to do it!  The shop owners love Halloween! The village becomes a witch village and many times, shop owners will even dress up.   On my most recent trip to Gardner Village, I stopped in at Country Furniture & Gifts which is a store very ready for Halloween.

The store is located in part of the old restored flour mill built in 1877 by Archibald Gardner in West Jordan, Utah.  The store is very family oriented and houses many built-to-last items such as dining room tables, sofas, beds and chairs.  They are also famous for their rug room where many of their rugs are still USA made. As they say, "A rug makes a huge impact for a minimum investment to any room."

The home accessories and giftware are amazing!  They have all sorts of decor for all sorts of personalities. Please be sure to pay them a visit.  It's worth it!
