I'm a newbie to cloth diapers. I'd heard all of the horror stories of the cloth diapers that were used when I was a child. I was scared off and felt discouraged to even try at all. One of my girlfriends uses cloth diapers and changed my mind. I realized that the cloth diaper has come miles and miles above the diapers of my youth.

I have been using one kind of cloth diaper, which I have loved, but have wondered about all of these new kinds of cloth diapers that are out there. I'm sure many of you have wondered as well. When I had the chance to review the Best Bottom Diapers diapering system I was excited to see what it was all about. How it works is you have a diaper shell and it has inserts that snap on the inside. That way when your child has a messy diaper you just take out the insert, wipe out the shell, and snap a new, clean insert in. The diaper has 2 closure options: hook and loop (velcro) or snaps. I have reviewed the snap diaper as well as 2 Stay Dry Inserts and one Hemp/Organic Cotton insert. They also have an over night insert which I did not review.

This diaper is really easy to uses. Because my little boy is over 1, the diaper didn't cross over like it does in the picture, so that confused me; but not for long. The shell is used from birth to 35lbs. It then made sense why the diaper would snap so small. Pretty cool! However I do wonder how it would fit a 35lb child? Either way, they are SUPER money savers! The diaper inserts are so soft. I feel like it helped prevent and get rid of diaper rash that disposables contributed to or made worse. I did like the Stay Dry Inserts the best. I don't know if it was the fact that the hemp insert needed to be broken in more, but it seemed a little more rough and caused a little chaffing. To get rid of the chaffing I put a little diaper rash cream and put a wash cloth over the affected area so it wouldn't get on the inserts and cause them to lose their absorbency and effectiveness.

I really like how this diaper works. My son had no leaks with this diaper! Amazing! Even when we were out and about I wasn't afraid that we'd have a problem. I plan on purchasing more of the Stay Dry Inserts and the adorable shells. I will also try out the overnight inserts. On their facebook page they get glowing reviews. :)
