We got our tree delivered last night from Prepaid Christmas Trees!  It smells amazing!!  We're in the process of finding where I stashed the ornaments last year......so aggravating.. I have had a good day though,  I went to Emergency Essentials and bought 3 cans of food storage!  With my $20 in gift cards I spent $6!   See how you can get $20 too. Winner One of my ongoing problems is getting my husband a lunch ready before he heads off to work.  He always insists he can do it himself, but time and time again he ends up at Subway. :)  So I was VERY interested in reviewing The Easy Lunchbox System! With this system I'm not only saving money, but also plastic and time.  The cooler bag and containers have NO phthalates, BPA, lead, vinyl or PVC.  Also the containers are safe for the dishwasher, freezer, AND microwave!  This is a HUGE plus for me!  I really want to come up with a lunch where I could put three meals together and keep them in the freezer!  I'm gonna think on that one... So...I'm not really into Black Friday, never have been.  Mostly because I don't like crowds or mornings.  I do plan on doing some shopping this year though. Are you swagging yet? Are you ready for Christmas?  Presents bought and wrapped?  Well, I just finished purchasing the last of my gifts - and guess what - I got them all for FREE!  Yep, I used Swagbucks to get Amazon.com credit. Since Amazon will ship, I went ahead and had them sent to my loved ones who live far away, saving me a trip to the post office.  Talk about EASY holiday shopping!  It may be too late for you to start earning Swagbucks for this holiday season but get going now and come next Christmas you will be a happy camper. I'm by no means the savviest Swagbuck accumulator, but in one month I can easily earn enough bucks to get $5 credit at Amazon and that's all just by doing my normal internet surfing. You do get more bucks through referrals, but I only have two so far, and it caps at 1,000 per referral anyway.  And I still make a decent amount of bucks. Swagbucks is a search engine as good as any other, but it gives you credit (Swagbucks) while you search.

I was craving pecan pie the other day, so I made us some!  I didn't want to buy corn syrup though because I would need to use only a portion of a cup.  I searched for a recipe that didn't use corn syrup and found one! Ingredients 1 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup white sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 eggs 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chopped pecans The directions are from Allrecipes.com and are easy as pie.  Sorry, I couldn't resist. :-) The only change I made was adding pecans to the top of the pie.
