It was my son's first birthday the other day and I made a Bundt Cake out of my favorite  Zucchini Bread recipe !  My kids loved it,  and you can eat it for breakfast! Same directions, just changed the pan.  It took a little over an hour to cook.  Make sure you grease and flour the pan really good.  I had to doctor mine up a bit. :);) Also don't overcook or you'll need to find some frosting and milk.   Can't go wrong I guess. lol For more Zucchini recipes you can go here and here . .

Today in the mail I got a FREE Bounce Dryer Bar and a check from Shop At Home! I got the Dryer Bar for being a Vocalpoint Member.  They send you full size products and then you just leave a short review of it on their site!  Plus with the product they usually send coupons that are good for more FREE product. :)  See what else I've received from them here . Shop At Home gives you rebates for shopping online.  You get a check quarterly when your account reaches $20.  If you do any kind of online shopping you should do this.  It's surprising how much it adds up.  For signing up they will credit your account $5! Ebates is the same kind of thing.  $5 to sign up and they send you a check quarterly.  I use both and love it! Spark is a modern cuisine restaurant.  A wonderful place to take a date or celebrate a special occasion.  The discount through Groupon is 57%! Their menu includes things like boston bibb lettuce cups, frisse and baby arugula salad, pan roasted salmon with a variety of panna cotta for dessert.  That's what I'm having when I go! :) Fancy smancy for an affordable price.  Yeah, my kind of deal! $3 for $6 Worth of Delicious, Frozen Treats at Tomasso's  The Screaming Daily Deal is with Tomasso's Italian ice and Gelato for half the price. Ok...so really all I needed was milk and dryer sheets but I always feel a need to make the most out of my dollar when I go. :) I went off the detailed list from Hip 2 Save .  The only difference in price I found was the Bounce dryer sheets for $5.99 with a $1 UP reward.  They rang up as $3.49!!  So there was no $1 Up reward. :)  That made my purchase less than $25 so I had to run and grab a Snickers and some glue.  (Ed- don't expect the Snickers to be here when you get home :) Out of Pocket I spent $10.63 - I had a $2 UP reward from a previous trip. Then I got $5 in UP rewards to use on my next purchase and a Single Check Rebate of $1.99! TOTAL: $3.64!! (Winder Milk is usually $3.89 on sale at Smith's hehehe) .

I happened upon the best post today!  Save At Home Mommy has a comparison chart for school supplies !  Wahoo!  What a great idea! My oldest is almost 3 so not quite school ready.  I've been wanting to gather school and craft supplies for her to explore with though.  My sister does this with her kids and it's amazing what they make with aluminum foil! Also I made her a memory game .  Just print it , have it colored, then you can glue it to some kind of card stock or whatever you have in the house.  I've been thinking of printing a few pictures of her face and gluing the games pictures to those. :):) .

This past Saturday, I had a baby shower for a dear friend in my neighborhood..  The event called for brunch! It was a fun time, and hopefully the food was good, too.  With a bit of preparation early in the week, it went off very smoothly. Here is the menu: Yogurt Parfaits:   Vanilla Yogurt, Strawberries, Blueberries and Cinnamon Raisin Granola . (Thanks Audrey for sharing your recipe. The cinnamon adds a very nice touch). Some friends brought over fruit for the parfaits.  That was the perfect help! My many thanks to them! Zucchini bread . (Please click the link to view the recipe shared last week.)   Muffins: Flavors included Blueberry, Mixed Berry, Chocolate Chip, Lemon Poppyseed and Raspberry. I made the muffins a few days before and stored in the refrigerator in ziplock bags to maintain freshness.  Two hours before the shower, I took the muffins out so that they would be room temperature.
