Seriously, this has been an AWESOME shopping week for me. It's one of those that reminds you why you coupon. It all started with my Smith's trip here . Here are two others that I thought were noteworthy :) Walmart: I bought: 2 Nivea Body Washes $3.97 each 1 umbrella $5.00 Used: $4/1 Nivea Body Wash for Women RP 5/2 (exp. 5/31) $5 gift card from Walmart (they put these in the mail last week, did you get yours??) Total OOP: $0.83 - yep, that's just sales tax :) Smith's: (I neglected to take a photo of this, but you get the idea) I bought: 6 Oscar Meyer Lunchables $1.00 each 4 Bar-S Hot Dogs $.88 each 10 lb bag potatoes $.88 Bananas $.52/lb Used: (2) $1/2 Bar-S Hot Dogs RP 5/16 (2) $4 Catalinas (received these earlier in the week for granola bars) Total: $2.17 - oh, and I put that on my $5 Smith's gift card (when I did my shopping trip on Monday, she neglected to scan the $5 coupon from my Rewards coupons, so she changed it into a g

Remember my Bread Store vs. Grocery Store review ? Well, it was time again to get some more bread, so I decided to try the Sara Lee Bakery Outlet this time. Here is what I bought: There are 7 loaves of bread, 1 pkg tortillas, 2 pkgs hotdog buns, 1 pkg hamburger buns, 1 pkg mini bagels, and 3 small treats. Total paid? $15.04 Can't do that at the grocery store! :) Here are the prices I found: Many of the regular Sara Lee breads were 10/$10 Farm Bread - 10/$10 Earthgrains bread - 6/$9 Sara Lee hot dog buns - .80 ( for a 16 pack!!! ) Tortillas - $1.25 Mini bagels - $1.00 Their mini treats were priced at .80, but several had a BOGO free on them. And, the best part? When you spend over $10 you get something free from "the rack". I ALWAYS spend $10 when I go to the bread store! This was a good mail day for me, it was actually Saturday's mail and I'm just now getting around to posting about it.  You know how it is.... This is what I got: $5 Walmart gift card!  Sent to "current resident" :) P&G Sampler Coupons ...TONS!  You can't tell from the picture, but it's a book!  Sign up to get yours here . Fresh Market has Cauliflower for .68/lb this week (ends tomorrow). So, I thought I'd post a quick recipe about what I like to do with a head of cauliflower :) Ever tried to add cauliflower to your mashed potatoes? It's simple, and your kids can't tell the difference! (Trust me, if your kids are as picky as mine, you'll get those veggies in them just fine!) In large pot, cut up head of cauliflower and add as many potatoes as you want. Bring until potatoes and cauliflower are soft enough to be pierced by a fork. Drain. Mash potatoes and cauliflower until smooth. Add butter, milk, salt and pepper (or whatever you would usually add to your mashed potatoes) until creamy. You will probably not need as much butter and milk with the cauliflower as it holds more water than the potatoes. Serve and enjoy!!

It felt like Christmas this morning. Seriously :) Last night I spent 2 hours gathering coupons for the Smith's Double's event, so I could go first thing this morning. I was worried about shelves being empty since this started yesterday, but. . . I was pleasantly surprised!! Not pictured are the Eggland's Best Eggs. They were out at this location, so I tried a different location later and they had TONS!! So, I bought 2 dozen. My price before coupons and rewards card: $150.89 After coupons and rewards card: $25.18 That's an 83% savings!!! PLUS. . .I got back $12 in catalinas!!!! So, if you figure that in, I only spent $13.18 today! Not bad for a day's work :) Go here for more ideas on doubles!

This was seriously fun this morning.  Maybe you have to experience it yourself to understand how shopping makes people skip :)  I spent $11.25 at the Smith's Doubles Event AND got back a $4 catalina , good on my next purchase.  And believe me, there will be one. SO $7.25 Wahoo! Also I wanted to let you know that I only get 1 newspaper subscription, All You Magazine, and I get a lot of use out of my printer.  Most of this is food storage and a couple things are camping food :) -not really into Flipz or Sunny D.
