Co-op's!

I participated in my first Co-op today and this is what I got:

1 Meat Share:
1 lb lean ground beef
2 lbs chicken drumsticks
4 6 oz cubed steaks
2 lbs pork sirloin roast

1 Produce Share:
bananas
5 pears
4 peaches
cauliflower
romaine lettuce
grape tomatoes
3 avocados
celery

It cost $24.  You pay a $5 lifetime membership fee when you join and your not required to do it every month.  They have tons of pick-up locations so we only had to go a couple blocks.  They also require you do 2 hours of volunteer work a month (meaning anything you do free for someone outside your family).  They ask that you volunteer with them for 2 hours a year.  Im very happy with what we got! Nothing has to be eaten right away, which I like. :)

Swagbucks!

Today Swagbucks is 2 years old.  They are celebrating by revamping their site.  They also changed the value of a swagbuck from 1 to 10.  So now an Amazon gift card is 450 swagbucks.  You can also get Target gift cards and a bunch of other things.

Sign up here, install their toolbar with no strings attached and you can earn gift cards.  I think I like the look of the old buck better...oh well.  There will also be free codes all day long.  Ill post them when I see them.  Or you can scroll down to the Swagbuck widget and press SC to see if one is available.

Swagbucks turns 2 tomorrow!

If you've been planning on eventually joining in on the Swagbuck fun tomorrow would be a good time to do it.  They are 2 years old tomorrow and are rewarding their members.  With what I don't know....

Basically it's just a free search engine like Google.  When you use it they reward you periodically with swagbucks that you can later exchange for prizes.  I get Amazon gift cards.  45 swagbucks equal a $5 Amazon gift card.  I've been a member for 3 months and have earned about $35.  Fun right??  If you refer others you earn even faster.  On your own you get about 1-3 swagbucks a day.  However I did get 10 once :):)  and lately I've been getting a lot of 2's.

Install their toolbar and it makes it easy.  I go back and forth using their toolbar and Google.  I would recommend installing it on Firefox.  Using it with Safari caused me problems.  Firefox has been perfect.

Target :(

I went to Target today to unload some coupons and they gave me the HARDEST time!!!  First the cashier wouldn't take some of them because they were more than the price of the item.  She actually overcharged me for something else so I went to customer service and they said that they can adjust the price of the coupon (that's what I thought!)  So good right??  No.  They run the coupons through but the computer wouldn't take them so they denied me.  Even though it CLEARLY stated that I was using a correct coupon for the correct item.  One excuse they gave me was that the certain item wasn't pictured on the coupon.  And then for another item that actually was pictured....they just said, "sorry our computer won't take it".  So apparently they have some secret fine print that isn't printed anywhere that we have to adhere to.  Does anyone else have these problems with Target???  is it just me???  I may never go there again.  Smith's, Rite Aid and even Who…
