$10 Credit from No More Rack!


I wasn't going to post about this because I was confused by it all and wasn't sure it was a great deal but after seeing todays deals I think its great! :)  Right now if you sign up for nomorerack you will get a $10 credit!  However it can only be used if you have $20 worth in your cart.  You are also charged $2 shipping per item.

Gardner Village is a local treasure. If you've never found your way down there, October is the month to do it!  The shop owners love Halloween! The village becomes a witch village and many times, shop owners will even dress up.   On my most recent trip to Gardner Village, I stopped in at Country Furniture & Gifts which is a store very ready for Halloween.

What to do with Apricots: Homemade Fruit Leather

If you have access to an apricot tree I highly suggest making fruit leather.  This was my first time attempting any kind of dried fruit and it turned out heavenly!
Plus my house smelled great all day!!  And if you read a recent post you can see why that would be needed...lol

Apricot Fruit Leather

4 cups chopped apricots
sugar
cinnamon
nutmeg
lemon juice
1/2 c water

Add apricots and a 1/2 c of water to a saucepan on low heat.
Cover, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.
Add sugar 1 T at a time till it tastes good
Add lemon juice 1 tsp at a time to taste
Add cinnamon to taste
Add nutmeg to taste - I did a lot of tastin'!! :)
Simmer for 5 minutes on low heat until thickened a bit


In batches add mixture to a blender
Blend until smooooooooth
Prepare baking sheet: line with microwaveable safe plastic wrap
Add mixture to sheet about 1/4 inch thick


MAKE SURE the plastic wrap doesn't fold over mixture and that it doesn't touch your oven
Bake at 140 degrees for 8 to 12 hours - fruit leathe…
